Frequently Asked Questions
Which BAH area covers each base?
NAS Pensacola, Corry Station, Saufley Field and NAS Whiting Field are in BAH area FL064. Eglin AFB, Hurlburt Field and Duke Field are in BAH area FL056. BAH follows your duty station, not the town you live in, so a Hurlburt Field member living in Navarre still draws the Hurlburt rate.
Where do I start if I have orders but no housing answer yet?
Read your base guide first for the housing office contact and the on-base options, then the on-base versus off-base comparison for that base, then the community guides for the commute you can live with. The PCS checklist covers the timeline around all of it.
Do these pages list on-base wait times?
No. Wait lists change and only the housing office can quote one, so each base guide gives you the office contact and says to call before you visit.
