Why Eglin families pick the East Gate side
Niceville is the primary Okaloosa County city on the northeast corner of Eglin AFB. Valparaiso is the small incorporated enclave immediately outside the East Gate, effectively surrounded by base land, and Bluewater Bay is the master-planned community inside Niceville's limits on Rocky Bayou, with its own golf, tennis, marina and a newer housing stock than the rest of the city. Flood, insurance and association checks by pocket
